Pre World Cup 2010 friendlies results

Just one week before the World Cup 2010 in South Africa kicks off, and the last bunch of international friendlies was played yesterday. The surprise of the day was definitely Italy losing from Mexico by 2-1, Spain contained South Korea by 1-0, and Germany had an easy afternoon against Bosnia and left with a 3-1 victory.

World Cup 2010 friendlies: Italy Vs Mexico 1-2

Mexico succeeded a great victory yesterday, in a pre World Cup friendly match against Italy. Carlos Vela opened the score for Mexico in the 16th minute, and Alberto Medina doubled Mexico’s goals in 84′. Italy just managed to save some face at the last minute of the game when Leonardo Bonucci scored the only goal for the Italians. World Cup 2010 friendlies: Spain Vs South Korea 1-0

Spain struggled for the most part of the game against an impressive South Korean team, but managed to leave victorious at the end thanks to a superb goal from Jesús Navas. The Spanish midfielder scored a long shot goal in the 85th minute of the friendly game, but South Korea definitely gained some valuable experience and a shot of confidence for the World Cup 2010 after this great performance. World Cup 2010 friendlies: Germany Vs Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-1

Germany had a slow start in their last friendly game against Bosnia, but scored three goals in the second half to leave victorious. Edin Džeko scored the first goal of the international friendly in the 15th minute, and Germany’s captain Philipp Lah tied the game in the 50th. Bastian Schweinsteiger scored the two remaining goals for Germany, both with a penalty shot and within four minutes (73′ and 77′).
