The official EA FIFA World Cup theme song called Waving Flag is out and people are already singing and shaking it to it. “Waving Flag” was written by artist K’NAAN, a Somali-Canadian poet and musician who was awarded songwriter and artist of the year in 2010 at the Juno Awards, an annual ceremony held in Canada that nominates Canadian music artists. The Juno Awards have been nominating Canadian artists since the 70’s and it is not before 1991 that the ceremony was held outside Toronto, bringing this year’s ceremony in St John’s, New-Foundland and Labrador. Since 2006, the Juno Awards are broadcasted internationally in Canada, the USA and other countries to more than 300 Million people.
“Waving Flag” is part of the EA Sports 2010 FIFA World Cup Soundtrack featuring rythmic and tribal sounds from 20 different countries that perfectly express the musical vibrancy of South Africa. This is the perfect song for the release of such a game that provides soccer fans with a taste of the largest sporting event taking place in South Africa. EA FIFA game will be available on PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox360 and is promised to be the best FIFA World Cup game ever released with new attack moves, improved defense and more.
