The offensive front-line of Spain, David Villa and Fernando Torres were voted the best offensive duo of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and currently best in the world. With 33% of the votes Torres and Villa topped the list of the official FIFA website’s pole, leaving all their opponents behind. This definitely proves once again that Spain is everyone’s favourite to win the World Cup trophy this time, but all this buzz is just putting more weight on the players shoulders.
In second place were Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuaín from Argentina with 31% of the votes. The offensive duos from Brazil (Robinho & Fabiano), Chile (Alexis Sánchez & Humberto Suazo), and Mexico (Carlos Vela & Javier Hernández) are all sharing the third spot after the fans voted.
