Are you anxious to find out which country will win the 2010 World Cup in South Africa? Well don’t be any more, since a scientist from the university of Dortmund has already declared Germany as the winner of the World Cup trophy. After hundreds of statistical and historical data calculations, the German scientist using a formula based on trigonometry correctly discovered that Italy would win the 2006 World Cup tournament. “My formula gave the correct answer in 2006, and this is exactly what will happen this summer too”.
The calculations are based on combined previous results from all World Cup competitions, and after four tournaments without a trophy for Germany now is the time to win it back. “Last time we won the World Cup was in 1990, and the average position for Germany is 3.7. It is very simple, put your champagne back in the fridge because we are winning this time!”
The German scientist has apparently also calculated the optimum way during a penalty shoot-out for maximum efficiency and best results. “The weakest penalty takers should start first, and the best last, increasing accordingly. This way the team has the best chance of scoring as much as possible”.
Germany has won the World Cup trophy three times already, and will be playing in Group D in South Africa against Ghana, Serbia and Australia.
