Portugal is a country located on the Iberian Peninsula and it the westernmost country of Europe. The archipelagos of Azores & Madeira are also part of Portugal. Portugal has roughly 10 million people, and around 2,6 million Portuguese live in the capital and largest city Lisbon. Other important cities include Porto, Braga and Coimbra. The Portuguese football team finished in the 4th place at the last Fifa World Cup in Germany, and the team will participate for the 5th time in the competition. Portugal is starting the World Cup in the toughest group and will have to fight for first place against five time champions Brazil. Group G is completed by Ivory Coast and North Korea.
