Group E is another hard one to break, at least for the 2nd qualifying position. The Netherlands came to the World Cup in South Africa having 8 wins in 8 games, the team is on a great run currently ranking 3rd overall in the FIFA world list, and they have always gone past the group stage in all eight appearances in the tournament (reaching the final twice in a row in 1974 and 1978). Most likely the Dutch will continue their successful streak and pass to the next round leaving three teams fighting for 2nd place.
Japan is having some serious hopes this time that the team will make it to the next round for the second time in history, and first away from home. Still they are the most inexperienced team and definitely the outsider of the group. Japan was the first team to book a ticket to South Africa flying past all opponents in the Asian Football Confederation qualifying tournaments, but this is exactly where it starts getting a lot harder for them.
Cameroon is the most successful and experienced African team in the World Cup playing in the tournament for the sixth time, while reaching all the way to the quarter-finals in 1990. The team has made several upsets and surprises in the past, and they want to keep the tradition going while boosting up their confidence playing in front of an African crowd. This is definitely one of the teams to watch in this tournament - Cameroon will not go down easily this time.
And that leaves us with Denmark, the 2nd team from Europe in Group D. Denmark is coming to the World Cup for the fourth time, and so far they move past the group stage every time. This is what the team is known for, consistency and stability, so this tournament will be no different. After missing the 2 previous big football events, Denmark is back at the world stage and they are planning to keep it this way. The match against Cameroon is really important and key for the Danish football team, most likely the country that will win on that game will advance to the next round alongside The Netherlands.
