South Korea or Republic of Korea as it is officially called, is located in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula in East Asia. South Korea has over 50 million inhabitants and its one of the most dense countries is the world. In fact the capital and largest city Seoul, is the second largest metropolitan area worldwide with almost 25 million people (half the population of the country). The South Korea football team is the most successful Asian team and has qualified for the World Cup for seven consecutive times (8 total). South Korea will be playing in Group B against Argentina, Greece and Nigeria.
