The coach of the Netherlands Bert van Marwijk has selected the following 23 player squad for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa that compromise the team’s official World Cup roster. Four players Engelaar, Vurnon Anita, Ron Vlaar and Jeremain Lens were cut from the initial 27-man team selection and will not travel to South Africa this summer. The list below is the official Netherlands World Cup team roster as announced before June 1st 2010 and cannot be modified unless a player gets injured before the opening game of the Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup. The captain of the Netherlands is Giovanni van Bronckhorst of Feyenoord.
