Franck Ribéry says that France is his favourite team to win the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and he expects some great performances from the French throughout the entire competition. “Obviously I believe that we will win the World Cup trophy in South Africa, we have a great team that is definitely able to accomplish just that,” says Ribéry in a recent interview for FIFA.
“I am expecting some great performances from France in this World Cup, and it is really important we have a good run in South Africa. To go past the group stage, and even reach the final. There are more fantastic teams in the tournament like Spain and England that are very strong. I think that Lionel Messi is the best player in the world right now, and it would be a dream come true for me to play in a team like Barcelona or Real Madrid. His passing abilities are exceptional, and the player is currently in great shape.”
Franck Ribéry also talks about his club Bayern Munich and the upcoming Champions League final: “It’s true that Bayern Munich is the best football team in Germany, and we definitely have the best roster of the entire Bundesliga. This team is certainly able to win the Champions League trophy this season.”
According to Ribéry the best French football player in history is Zinedine Zidane: “Zidane was an amazing player and a great person. He would always respect and trust his team mates, giving advice before each game. When Zidane had the ball he was like a magician, he could do great things with it.”
Surprisingly Franck Ribéry did not even mention once Zahia Dehar and the sex scandal allegations during the interview. This excerpt was taken from the FIFA official website, where the underage prostitute story does not even exist even after searching everywhere on their website for it.
