The Italian football team is the current World Champion, having won the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. Having won a total of four titles (Brazil has five), Italy is one of the most successful teams in the history of the competition. The champions are competing against New Zealand, Slovakia and Paraguay in Group F of the 2010 World Cup.
