Cameroon is a republic and is located in central western Africa. The country of Cameroon is well know for the success of its national football team, that has qualified for the World Cup a total of six times making it the most successful African team. They were also the first African team to reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup (1990 against England). Cameroon has a population of just under 20 million people, with an astonishing 40% of the people under 15 years of age. The official languages of Cameroon are both English and French, since the territory was occupied by both countries. The capital of Cameroon is Yaoundé, and the largest city Douala with around two million people living there. Cameroon will have a tough mission in the group stage playing against Japan, Denmark and The Netherlands in Group E.
