North Korea is a country located in Eastern Asia, at the north half of the Korean Peninsula. North Korea has 24 million inhabitants, with around 3 million people living in Pyongyang, the capital and largest city of the nation. The North Korean football team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup twice: for the first time in 1966 where they managed to reach the quarter-finals, and now for the forthcoming competition in South Africa 2010. North Korea will have a hard time in the group stage playing against five time champions Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast in Group G.
