Nigeria is a country located in western Africa and it has a population of over 150 million people. This makes Nigeria the most populous country in Africa (8th in the world overall), and the most populous nation where the majority of inhabitants are black. The four official languages of Nigeria are English, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, spoken by the three largest and most influential ethnic groups. The capital of Nigeria is Abuja, but the biggest metropolitan area is Lagos with almost 15 million inhabitants. The Nigerian football team has qualified for the World Cup a total of four times, but they have never managed to go further than the first round. Nigeria will be playing in Group B against Argentina, Greece and South Korea.
